Pre-planning a funeral provides peace of mind, ensuring your arrangements are made in advance so you can rest assured that every detail is taken care of for you and your family. By paying for your funeral in advance, you secure today’s prices, freezing the funeral director’s costs and protecting against future inflation.
Our range of Golden Leaves funeral plans includes everything from packaged options to bespoke plans tailored specifically to your wishes. The funeral directors’ costs are guaranteed, no matter which plan you choose. You also have the option to either contribute to third-party costs, or to guarantee these as well.
Plans also include a built-in allowance towards third party costs
As well as the cost of our services, there are other funeral costs you need to think about. Referred to as third party costs (sometimes called “disbursements”), these are for other essential services such as cremation or burial fees, and the minister or officiant’s fee to perform the service, which need to be paid at the time of the funeral.
The Golden Leaves funeral plans we offer include an allowance towards these costs. Third party costs are outside of our control. However, the allowance included in your plan may grow over time and there would only be more to pay at the time of the funeral if the third party costs exceed the allowance when you buy your plan, or if the costs increase by more than the growth of your plan.

When you’re ready to choose your plan, we can offer a wide range of options and ways to pay.
If you opt to pay in a single payment you are guaranteed to be accepted. 12 months instalments are available but we’ll have to ask about your health first.
If you opt for a longer instalment period, you can choose to take out a credit finance agreement via Funeral Safe* where age, personal circumstance, health and status restrictions apply.
